2. My bladder isn't as strong as it used to be. 3. My oldest daughter picks better stops than I do. 4. My husband picks the worst parts of the trip for me to drive. 5. Portable DVD players were invented for road trips. 6. Ipods really are more important than DVD players. 7. Seat warmers make you think you've started menopause. 8. Radio stations in South Georgia ARE that bad. (See # 5 & 6) 9. The cotton looks like it's ready for picking. 10. I-75 is still under construction. 11. Teenaged girls still sleep in a ball in the backseat. 12. Reading still makes me carsick. 13. We get to do it again Saturday. Links to other Thursday Thirteens!1. Having just done a road trip from Florida to Boston and back...I can really relate to your 13 here. Especially the reading in the car...that's why I knitted the whole way.

I love my ipod for traveling now. I don't know how I did it without the ipod now. And driving through Tennessee it is cool seeing all the cotton in the field and you're right they do look like they are ready to be picked.
My 13 is about my favorite concerts.
Having done our fair share of 20+ hour drives, I appreciate your list. The portable DVD player saved out life!
That was a great list, #7 made me laugh outloud. I always felt this but never voiced it. Enjoy Saturday as much as you can... ;-)

I can relate to the seat warmers thinking you've started menopause. I don't have seat warmers in the car, but I have a wonderful mattress pad that is heated. I love it until about 3 or 4 in the morning and well....night sweats take on a whole new meaning.
