Oh, gosh--I went through that with my 2 girls. Congrats! BTW, come join the fun for the Silly Summer Sunday Sweepstakes. Come share the Caption Love with us--we've got a good one this week!
miss a: she wouldn't hear of a celebration and was agitated that I told her dad. You should have been in the CVS yesterday to hear the conversation between the daughters concerning sanitary products. I had to go make sure other people were not in the store.
I hope that this is something that I can one day celebrate with my daughters and help them see it as a sign of maturity and nothing to be embarrassed about. I wish my mother had spend more time with me in dealing with the issue and so I have vowed to do differently with my own children someday.

Um ... congratulations?
Can I ask how old she is? The Queen is ten. I live in fear.
Here's to PMS-free teen years for you, teach.
Um, yay? Good luck with that. Better you than me!
Cupcake - She is 12 1/2, getting ready for 7th grade. Much better than her sister who was 10, in the middle of 5th grade.
Debbie - Thanks. Volleyball starts tomorrow. She doesn't know what to think.
PrepGirl was 10? In the 5th grade? You've just given me the shivers.
Good luck with volleyball tomorrow for BrownBear. What a nice back-to-school gift for her, eh?

Yuck. I do NOT want to think about that with Little Miss.
Now go crush up some Mydol and put it in her drink. Save yourself a little drama.
awwww, a big celebration is mandatory!
Downside: You have to have all of the talks regularly. . . how uncomfortable for all. . . (((Hugs)))
