Beautiful May

Welcome, blessed May!! Only 19 more days until this year is over and we get some respite from this year. Writing test results came back yesterday and there were DNM results from people I am surprised by. Oh well; as we were told, the scores will be what they will be.

Leadership Retreat is all day today. That means shorts and a substitute for me.

I got a new student YESTERDAY but he is wonderful!!!! I wish he had been with me all year. I am supposed to get a new one TODAY. Remember, 19 days to go.

Getting Ready to Go

Nothing is harder for me than getting ready to be away from the classroom. I know what needs to be done, but, my word, it is hard getting it all done. When I agreed to go away with PrepGirl for her Spring Break, I forgot that the Writing Assessment was going to be given the morning the day we are going to leave. Some bright bulb at the county decided we were going to give it on an early release day. I can scarcely breath just thinking about it, but we have to cram it in, plus feed them lunch and get them home by 12:15.

Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it? Well, I'm going to finish some plans and I am going to see the ocean for a few days.
